I don’t even know where to start. First of all, Maggie and Alan are such lovely and welcoming hosts and they really made their house feel like a home away from home for me. They are very sociable and communicative, which really helped me to improve my English skills, but they will also let you do your own thing. My room, as well as the house in general were both really clean and spacious. The bus stop is only about a two-minute walk away from the house and the bus connections to the city centre, as well as to the pier are great. To summarise, I couldn’t have wished for a better host family in Brighton and I highly recommend them. Thanks for everything and hopefully I can come back in the future. Andrin

I spent three weeks with Maggie and Allan! It was really a joy to spend time with them! They are very kind and welcoming! I felt very comfortable in their home. They were very patient with me when I didn't understand English very well and corrected me when I was wrong. If I had any questions about Brighton, they were there to advise me. If I come back to Brighton, I would love to come back to them. Don't hesitate! You can trust them completely and you will feel comfortable with them straight away. Thank you for everything! I am very grateful for the time we spent together. xxx

Thank you for lovely 5 months! It was first place I spent a time in Europe, so I was so nervous and wasn’t confident to speak English at the first time. But they looked after me and spoke in easy-to-understand English, which helped me to stay calm. And their relatives and the girl they lived with were very nice too. Also, the house was very clean and cosy. All are very good memories. My English has improved a lot during this stay and I wish I could have spoken more. I will study more and come back again!

I stayed with Maggie and Alan for three months. I was an American exchange student at the University of Sussex. Maggie and Alan provided me a great home with proper English company during my stay. I would recommend for long or short term basis.

A wunderful family living in a nice and spacious house. The hostparents are awesome. The room is spacious too. Lots of storage space in there. Good connection to town by a frequent busroute. Bus stop 3 mins from house. All in all a great time. Highly recommended.
